Celebrity Classic Golf Tournament announces venue change to Quail Creek Golf Club
SAN MARCOS, Texas – Feb. 21, 2011 -- The United Way of Hays County announced today that it has changed the venue of one day of their golf tournament, the Celebrity Classic, to Quail Creek Country Club.
The Celebrity Scramble, previously scheduled to be held at Plum Creek Golf Club on Sunday, April 29, will now take place at Quail Creek Country Club golf course. This decision was made due to circumstances that arose beyond the control of United Way. The Celebrity Classic will still be played at Onion Creek Club on Monday, May 1.

Quail Creek’s Par 72 course has impressive fairways, tall grass waste areas and beautiful Bermuda greens. Quail Creek is a challenging course for any player.

United Way of Hays County to Host Celebrity Golf Tournament
SAN MARCOS, Texas – October 15, 2010 - United Way of Hays County announced today that it will host the 2011 Celebrity Classic Golf Tournament to benefit the Hays County Food Bank and other partner agencies.
The event, previously hosted by Texas State University, will be held April 30 - May 2, 2011, at Onion Creek Club in Austin, Plum Creek Golf Course in Kyle and Embassy Suites Hotel and Conference Center San Marcos. Weekend events include a dinner and auction, a celebrity mixer and a two-day golf event.
“The Celebrity Classic is more than a round of golf with one celebrity. The three-day event brings in over 40 celebrities to mix and mingle with attendees and includes two fantastic days of golf,” said Kristy Stark, Celebrity Classic Chair. “Most importantly, all proceeds will benefit many worthy United Way partner organizations.”
United Way of Hays County, through its own initiatives and partner agencies like the Hays County Food Bank, serves over 30,000 Hays County residents each year. By focusing on the building blocks of good life, education, income and health, UWHC is working to strengthen the community and create opportunities for all Hays County citizens.

Sponsorship packages can be expensive so we are accepting any amount of donation you would like to make and/or a silent auction item.
